Hi Rene and all! The Winter Mist fashions should be arriving with the Holiday Toast dolls. Integrity hopes to have them in the country by mid-November, which will put them in the hands of dealers by the 3rd week in November. The latest gossip comes from Helena. She is working on a great accessory set for Candi that will contain 21 items and retail in the $17 range. Also in the works are 3 additional dressed dolls in the Bettie Page collection but no pics are available as yet. One is Rhinestone Cowgirl, one is Cuervo Gold and the 3rd is Bettie in her Marilyn dress. She is also working on getting some Vintage fashions done, hopefully to arrive before the end of the year but possibly not until January 2002. They are projected to retail for about $18.95 - $19.95. Hope to have more from Integrity with their plans in the not too distant future. I understand there will be some sneak previews in an upcoming issue of Dolls in Print. Just for fun... thought you might get a "kick" out of this. Melissa in MD Take all American women who are within five years of menopause - train us for a few weeks, outfit us with automatic weapons, grenades, gas masks, moisturizer with SPF15, Prozac, hormones, chocolate, and canned tuna - drop us (parachuted, preferably) across the landscape of Afghanistan, and let us do what comes naturally. Think about it. Our anger quotient alone, even when doing standard stuff like grocery shopping and paying bills, is formidable enough to make even armed men in turbans tremble. We've had our children, we would gladly suffer or die to protect them and their future. We'd like to get away from our husbands, if they haven't left already. And for those of us who are single, the prospect of finding a good man with whom to share life is about as likely as being struck by lightning. We have nothing to lose. We've survived the water diet, the protein diet, the carbohydrate diet, and the grapefruit diet in gyms and saunas across America and never lost a pound. We can easily survive months in the hostile terrain of Afghanistan with no food at all! We've spent years tracking down our husbands or lovers in bars, hardware stores, or sporting events...finding bin Laden in some cave will be no problem. Uniting all the warring tribes of Afghanistan in a new government? Oh, please ... we've planned the seating arrangements for in-laws and extended families at Thanksgiving dinners for years ... we understand tribal warfare. Between us, we've divorced enough husbands to know every trick there is for how they hide, launder, or cover up bank accounts and money sources. We know how to find that money and we know how to seize it ... with or without the government's help! Let us go and fight. The Taliban hates women. Imagine their terror as we crawl like ants with hot-flashes over their godforsaken terrain. I'm going to write my Congresswoman. You should, too!

That dress and coat does look good on the AA International! I've also had some tell me that they are using the Gold 'n Glamour fashion on her and putting the sheath on the Gold 'n Glamour doll. My favorite on this AA is still the Gold Rush fashion but have to admit I got so focused on admiring Winter Mist on the Hispanic that I haven't tried it on the AA yet. HI All, Nice to get a review of all four dolls. I only purchased the AA, but I was not crazy about her outfit. Anyone else really annoyed about the fur on her collar and the fur on the purse being different? I didn't really like the outfit anyway, but I was love the doll itself. I just think the flocked hair is the best. I keep finding myself buying the honey AA, and this one is just wonderful. I love the deep burgandy lips and nails. Anyway, I looked around for a different outfit for her, and this is what I came up with the first time. http://www.frivolities.com/temp/inter.jpg The outfit is great without the coat too. Hi Listies! I am the proud owner of 4 beautiful ladys from the International Line. :-) I love these dolls and I like to share my impressions with you. I hope you understand what I mean; it's not easy for me to express all these in english. ;-) Unpacking was easy, they are fastened to the box only with a tape at the waist. The new boxes are, by the way, much nobler than in former times. Who wants to look at the pictures of the ladies, can use the links. Danish Candi http://members.aol.com/SuzW497026/Resources/icidanish.jpg The most remarkable thing on her is the beautiful red hair, starked in two shades. The hair length is also unusual, it ends on center back. The black straigth dress is completely lined and suits perfectly. The hat is from a sturdy material and coated with something that looks like velvet. The double-row necklace (beads in two sizes) has a real hook and she waer matching bead ear plugs. Also the black gloves and the bracelet correspond perfectly to the outfit. I love also the new shoes, with open toe and heel portion and strap on the leg. The strap is closed with a tiny knub, what is quite tricky however it looks great. As additional accessoiries she has cool black sun glasses and a hat box with Candi print. Her eyes are in a colour like cognac and the eyelid shadows are reddish matching very nice to the hair colour. Under the left eye she has a small beauty mark. The dark red lips are easily opened, but she don't smile. The nailenamel corresponds to the lip colour. A wonderfully elegant lady! Asian http://members.aol.com/caribvid/Resources/icidasian2.jpg She has very long dark-brown hair, oliv coloured eyes, brownish eyelid shadows, light red lips and naturally the special asiatic face mold. The nails are painted suitably to the lipstick. The white suit from raw silk is in two-pieces, pants and top. The top is lined and has a deep back decollete. Everything sits as cast-on. Her only juwelry are silver earrings. The white shoes are closed at heels and toes, otherwise same as the shoes of Danish. She has a shoppingbag with her also as black sun glasses. She shines by Understatement! African American http://members.aol.com/suzw497026/Resources/icidaa.jpg This doll has flocked hair, ultra-short, and the colour is lightbeige. That sounds itself amusingly, I know, looks however refined to the honey skin tone. The eyes are in a darkly olive and she has, as only of the four, no painted lashes; only a black eyelid line. The eyelid shadow is painted in three brown tones and on the left cheek bone sits a beauty mark. The lips are dark-brown like also the nails. She has golden earrings and the sun glasses participate also again. The light brown wool-gown is lined, suits perfectly and is decorated with four "diamonds". The fur on her neck has a hook catch and also the fur bag had an imitated catch. Whether the fur accessories fits now a sleeveless dress and open shoes (same model as however with Danish in brown) or not, is probably matter of opinion. The most failed Candi so far, my opinion. Hispanic http://members.aol.com/caribvid/Resources/icidhisp2.jpg This beautiful one has very long, weavy platinum hair. The lipstick is a strong darker red, exactly the same color at her nails. Her make-up is held in tender grey and tender lilac and the eyes are lilac-grey. The grey brows are unusual, looks however well to the hair colour. In coloured harmony she carries a silver-grey straight dress without sleeves, with V-decollete. Also this dress is made perfectly , completely lined, decorated with a silver "brosche" with glass brick and looks from the back as beautiful as in front. Over the shoulders she carries a white fur. Silver pumps complete the outfit. She owns a totally noble radiant emittance. In real she affects fewer strictly than on the picture. All dolls are supplied with stand and, differently than sometimes the older models, they can moved the shoulder joints without any problems. The classical elegance of the dresses designed by Jason Wu is exciting! I'm totally hooked. Jeason did a great job on these dolls! I was gone to have a look, and I ordred now the CD Vol. 1, for testing these paterns and to see which tips there are for simplier sewing. I'll tell you, what I think about.
