And after the boiling water, I make a new tiny ring out of one seed bead on a small piece of wire pulled through the hole and glued in place. Only works on a doll that is always going to wear the same outfit unless you make a gold or silver one, but much better than the giant doll rings mattel gives them. Kathy M. Frivolities Antiques Ft. Just wanted to mention... You know how the Integrity dolls have the plastic rings (well at least the play line ones do)? I myself hate having a big plastic thing in my doll's hands and I just discovered if you remove the ring and pour boiling water over the doll's hand the hole shrinks. Not they're only about as big as a pinhole. It works the same for the earring holes. Just thought this might be a helpful tip. Randall

Thanks again for the tip Pat. I bought two Fashion Avenues today, one called Tokyo beat and one called Front Row at the Spring Show. I liked Tokyo Beat's shirt but I removed the thing in the front (I guess I could call it lining) and the velcro. I really like the dress to Front Row but hate how they just sew across the top of the bows so I removed that stitching and the velcro. Now I need to put snaps in place of the velcro. Hate all the shoes and acessories but once I'm done fixing these peices I think I'll be content. Perhaps I'll make to to TRU tomorrow ... BTW folks, my collecting is taking a new turn and I am going to be selling some of my dolls! I'll send a FS list to candichat with some of them tonight. Randall

Just wanted to let the people near PHL BWI DCA aware of the Free State Fashion Doll Club Doll Show & Sale that will be happening on April 14th from 10am-4pm at the Ferndale Fire Hall very near the Baltimore Airport. Entry is $5 & there will be dealers selling Barbie, Candi, Gene, Tyler, Integrity dolls, etc. Food will be available on premises & the light rail stops right outside the door. Integrity Dolls at K Mart

I have checked the 3 K mart stores in my area each week, and it looks like they will not be getting any of these dolls. One of the stores will be closing shortly, and they are not sure about the other two. Our Wall Mart stores, have pleanty of Barbie dolls, and a few off name brands, the other day I found 2 Janay dolls from 1998. That is it. Take Care Pat Feick

FS: Candi dolls

Hello, I have a couple of Candi dolls for sale. Popular Price African American- in the same condition as she was in when I removed her from the box, wearing her original earrings, dress, and shoes. The logo on the front of the dress looks a bit light or worn but it came this way. $15.00 Asian Candi- this was the Popular Price Candi and she has had bangs rooted in and her hair cut and styled into a flip (about shoulder length), lips repainted but they look the same as they originally did, nails painted pink. She comes nude and wears her original earring posts. $15.00 I would also like to sell some of my Retro Candi fashions, they are from the 1st year ('96?). I have the pink gown with white fur stole, Entertaining Tonight, and Coctails at 6 (this fashion was coming open on the sideseam of the bodice when I got it NRFB and was hand stitched to correct that). Also have the Sightseeing fashion. These fashions (exept for the one thing noted) are all as they were when I removed them from the boxes and are complete with original shoes, jewelery, etc. $15.00 each (OUCH, if you only knew what I paid for that coctails fashion ...) My girls want to trade these in for some new clothes. Please let me know if you are interested, shipping is extra.
