HI all, Well, got to play some more. Still haven't had everything on the dolls, but did get the AA one deboxed. Wait till you see the gorgeous hair on this one. She has stunning light brown hair with gorgeous streaks. Really pretty screening too. And yes there is a pair of plaid fabric shoes in the set. They match the little shorts outfit, and are cute as can be on. They look like chunky clogs. I just love all the goodies in these sets. Suzanne mentioned to me, can you imagine what Mattel would have charged for a set like this? I bought one of the Dusk to Dawn giftsets in the longerie line, and it was $80.00, and I don't think the clothes were as nice. Must not have been as amusing, as I haven't had them on the doll since I got her. LOL May see if I can post some dressed pics in the next couple of days, but did want to let everyone know, these are well worth the money, and you know how cheap I am. Kathy M. P.S. HI All, I have the Serengeti Sunset Janay and she is WONDERFUL, beautiful presentation box and the outfit and jewelry are lovely and she has those new arm molds which are really great too and she really isnt expensive at all, I got mine for only $19.99, NOW I did see a seller on Ebay the other day selling them for $14.50 so its worth checking out as she is a true beauty!! I saw the Serengeti Sunset Janay before Christmas and thought she was lovely. Hopefully I will get one but right now I'm trying to be on a budget and the only time I buy something a doll is when it's on clearance, at the flea market, or something that I cannot pass up because I may never see it again. LOL It is tough, we'll see how long I can hold out. What do you all think about the My Scene Barbie dolls? I am quite fond of all three but have refrained from purchasing any. I don't like buying modern Barbie. Usually if I like something new I wait a few weeks and I'm over it (and glad that I didn't buy) but I've had my eyes on them for quite a while now. The only thing that I don't like is the metallic/glittery make-up. I would prefer more natural colors in the make-up and the reason why I like the clothing so much is because they use more neutral colors and not so much pink. Randall

It is a very confusing concept since they carry the Barbie name. I think it was really Barbie's answer to the huge trend and the success of the Bratz, etc. I think that the Bratz dolls are sort of cute (I wouldn't buy one) but I especially hate how they have no feet. I was helping my cousin with Christmas shopping for her little sis and she wanted to buy a Bratz doll but we both thought the My Scene much more appealing because that way she could change clothes with her other Barbies and they actually have feet. If you haven't gotten this beauty, do so. I got mine today and am enjoying her....what a beauty! Jason did a great job as usual and the dress is just magnificent! weekender sets!!!!

Hi All, Got both of the weekender sets from Suzanne yesterday, and they look really great. The packaging is really pretty ( like that will last around me!) The new face mold on the Israelli is really pretty, and the screening is lovely on both of them. It is nice to see totally different dolls, not just the same thing in a different color. I have only deboxed the Israelli set so far, but the quality on the clothing is wonderful. All lined nice, and the fit on the pants I put on is perfect. I was impressed with the bathing suit/longerie piece ( It looks like underwear to me, but if you are going away for the weekend, you must need a bathing suit?) it was totally lined, and very well sewn. Every time I get something that Jason has had a hand in, I am thrilled all over again. Will post more when I get the AA set out of the box. Dying to play with all those little plaid things. go to this site http://www.41vogue.com/Specials.htm not only are there sales on Candi but they have Malibu Barbies for $7...Black Enchantment Silkstone dress for $17 & hat stands for the Gene dolls fancy hats, 2 stands to a box & each stand holds 3 hats selling for $6 that's less than half price of the orig. cost . ( wonder if Barbie hats would fit on them ?) Mad. Isabella barbie ( I think that's the pretty one that look as if it's in a picture frame) Is $46. That pretty 'All that glitters' Barbie doll for $20....
