Hi Pat and all, I really hate the new body and don't use it except under duress. Good lord, you would think after 40 years Babs could keep her figure. I hate that all my patterns don't fit the new body, and I don't think it looks nearly as nice in the outfits. There was a reason, she had such a tiny waist, and it was to make the clothes look good. I tend to choose the FA that are pretty stretchy. Heck, I spend a lot of time putting them on Candis and the FR dolls. LOL I picked up the one with the bubble cut too. Actually, it is the silkstone #4 on it ( I think that is the right number) Check the face paint. I put that one on my number 3 pony too. ( she gets anything her little heart desires. LOL ) I got a neat FA yesterday that has some cool flowered pants, and I did find the Cali girls playline dolls and picked up the Lea in that line, as she has such pretty streaks in her hair. I think I will do a quick repaint, hair do on her and use her for things that will never fit the other dolls, as she has the new body too, but it is a pretty color. Sort of a honey brown. I did also pick up the grocery store x-mas dolls, as I loved the holly covered long jacket. Took it right off that insipid blond, and slipped it on my Dusk to Dawn FM doll. Stunning with the red hair. I too have cut back on my collecting. I really like the clothes and have bins of those, and I really just like changing their outfits and things for the season. I am still buying vintage, and I have been spending a lot of time fixing up that stuff. I have decided that I really need to stand back and think about things for a while. It is amazing how much I can talk myself out of, if I work at it long enough. I really thought I wanted the new Kate Spade one, but I am sort of over it for the price. If I see it at a bargain, I may still pick it up, but with no doll store to even look at it, I get over things faster. I am sort of bummed about the lounge kitties outfits not being removable, but it is par for the course. Mattel has a really hard time making well fitting outfits that can be removed. I may still buy the black haired one, as I think it is so cute, and I love the lip chair. I have been known to cut outfits off and remake them so they can be put back on properly. And one of these days I am going to get a little outfit done that I have been working on for months. I am down to the jacket now. I can't wait to share with everyone. Haven't gotten the munsters yet. I haven't looked at them on ebay for a couple of months. Guess I had better take a look again. LOL And Grayson is my favorite "little monster" for the holidays. OT: Update!!

Hi All, Well sicne I am writing this you can tell I wasnt put in the hospital but I found out I have contracted one of the baddest strains of flu, they are pretty sure I am over the worst of that, sure dont feel like it but thats what they told me, I also have strep throat and as I had anticipated a VERYMILD form of pnuemonia. Since I am on so many viral medications already the two doctors I saw didnt put me on anything more since any more viral meds were pretty much redundant, The lady doctor I saw said that my meds i was taking were keeping in check the flu and the strep and pnuemonia from being much worse than it is, Its bad enough so I can only imagine how bad it could have been had I not been on all this medications I am already on. The best thing they could prescribe me was LOTS of bed rest and Plenty of fluids, SO I know the TWO rooms in the house I will be spending much of my time in this coming week. :-) I have to retain somewhat of my humor and with luck and rest this next week I should be back to normal (whatever that is) within a week or so. I have reset my mail on my groups back to what it was before, But I more than likley wont be online for more than very short periods of time. I would like to publicly THANK the MANY people that have written and sent well wishes and prayers, they are MUCH appreciated. TTYS My Friends!! Kevin Kilmer

OT: Going NO MAIL!

Hello guys and dolls, I am in NEED of going no mail at the moment, I have been hit HARD with this flu and what appears to be pnuemonia, I have been coughing horribly andjust tonight my temp has gone to almost 104, so its time for me to go to the doctors to see whats going on. More than likely I will get put in the hospital, This is especially troubling for me since, and I know a few of you already know, I am HIV+, and anything that compromises the immune system could be potentially fatal for me. I feel like crap and have now for about 4 days so its past time for my stubborness and get my butt to the doctors and see what the heck is going on!! PLEASE do not unsubscribe me from the groups as I really do enjoy them so much and have learned so much from all of you!! Hi All, Hope you all enjoyed the pics. To answer some questions from Robin and Pat. First off, of course that Fashion is out of the box. I looked at the box just long enough to notice how pretty it is, and then out it came. LOL I am a true deboxer. I did keep the box, as it is so nice. Pat, the Candi Basics were the last bunch of Candis Jason did. They came and went very quickly as they were very small runs. They all had wild hair colors. The red on this one is a true red. I also got the one with the purple hair, and she is a lot of fun too. Robin, I can probably make the sheath for the articulated body as long as the bust is still about the regular size. I think it would be terribly difficult to make the bust smaller and have the dress come out looking right. I would need a good idea of measurements, and what sort of fabric you would like. I am out of that particular one, but I literally have BOXES of wonderful vintage fabrics. Pat, the mermaid started out as a playline mermaid Kayla ( they are still out in the store right now) She is the one with the orange hair. I bought her to steal the head with the wonderful orange hair to do a different doll, and that silly body was sitting around. It has a joint inside covered with a vinyl molded "skin" I was trying to figure out a way to do something exciting for it, and I came up with removing the "skin" part, and sewing a zillion sequins on the vinyl. It actually was not as hard as it sounds. Just tedious. The head is a Western Stamping Tara Lynn ( Steffie Faced) just to do something different. How many black haired mermaids do you see? Just a weird sort of whim. And yes, she is probably the only one. I am not really into mermaids or fairys, and have only done 1 of each. I like fantasy, but am not into doing what everyone else does. It was a nice change for me though, as I have been doing a lot of meticulous real looking fashions, and sheer fantasy is a break. I never take pics as I go, as I am barely able to get pics done when I am finished. LOL Probably should have on this one, as it was a sort of cool process. I believe in kids shoveling show and raking leaves too. I usually go out with Grayson to shovel, but it was still snowing gang busters, and I am too lazy to shovel more than once. I did notice a lot of people giving the house dirty looks as he was out there by himself, but I was sitting right by the window and watching his every move. I am not that bad a parent. LOL I am thinking of getting him a mop and vacume too. LOL He already dusts ( not very well, but we try) I have a hard time believing he is four too. My how time flies. Ok, I will shut up again. Next up is my mermaid that I FINALLY finished after months of sewing sequinns to that stupid tail. The tail is the regular one from the playline mermaids, so she is posable. I about fell over laughing, but I now know I have lost him completely, and he is all his daddy's son. Well, surely I have bored you enough for now. It is supposed to be a nice day today, so we will be attempting to do some work on the house, quick before it snows again.
