Hi All, Must say I read the press release from Percy with a sinking heart. I sure would hate to lose Candi AGAIN. I can't imagine that Helena would be dissatisfied with what Jason is doing, but we know from the past, she can be very hard to work with. My only consolation will be the Adele and Veronique. Hi all, Today, I got PoSA (thanks to my friend Elizabeth). She's such a beautiful doll - simply fabulous. I LOVE her face, I think to have never seen it before, it's a really african face and not a dark painted caucasian. Her makeup is fantastic - she looks so lifelike, standing beside my screen - much more than most other dolls! If I listen very hard, I can hear her sing! :-)) I'm looking for a name for her now, maybee I call her Ngozi, I think that means Queen. Two questions for Mattel: Have you noticed that the material of her cape scratches her arms and WHY you have painted her bottom white!? In a few days, I think I will redress her in modern fashion. Randall, have you just done it? What color have you choosen? Hi Pat and all, Hope you are feeling better Pat. We are freezing to death around here as the high is supposed to be 15 degrees today. Brrrr. Wouldn't be so bad, but the past Saturday it was 70! Body is having a little trouble adjusting. LOL Isn't that weekender set cool? I love them both. I had only ordered the Israeli one, and am so glad I decided to get the AA one too. As soon as I finish up a couple of things around here, I will take the time to snap some pics of the different combinations so you all can see how cool these are. If you haven't gotten one, they are so worth the money. Also had to order a couple of the basic dolls, and can't wait to see those. I am hearing rumors of maybe the Adele and Veronique in 3 or 4 weeks. Any confirmation on those? Ohh, the credit card is smoking. Good thing I am selling a few things on ebay right now, or hubby would be really pissed. LOL ( for those interested in vintage Babs, I am selling some nice things, just look under my e-mail address. There is a Midge up there that will probably go pretty cheap, and she really is pretty. Will sell overseas esp. to anyone on this list) Better scoot. received AA weekender

I just received the AA Weekender doll. Her hair is colored similarly to the All that Glitters Barbi doll that arrived yesterday. This sunstreaked look is so attractive. Love the brown body suit she's wearing...feel like leaving her in it...love the 3 pars. of shoes including the cute plaid wedgies. I did a dumb thing in leaving on the body suit & trying to put the silk like slacks over it as it doesn't fit well then & is harder to get on,,,, the cute chiffon top is suppose to bare the midriff a bit & of course that can't happen with the bodysuit on. The top is hard to get on over Candis pretty hand with its splayed fingers. The doll is held in place with ribbons tied in knots that have to be cut as do the very thin nylon threads holding on the clothes...don't try to just break the threads, the strong nylon isn't going to let that happen. I didn't realize that in the bottom corner where Im used to seeing the plaid purse, is also a plaid short set tha,t with the beige coat & hat, gave me more than I bargained for . I wish I could afford the other weekender set but I have other things on order that is supposed to arrive in Feb. so that's not going to happen. I'm a big fan of suits so I think I'm going to gather all my gals in suits & place them around the office set ( non Barbie) I bought awhile ago & havent' done any thing about as yet...for one thing , don't like its color & may repaint it. I've had so little play time , 1st was getting ready for the holidays, then lots of babysitting grandkids as their mom had to return to work, then I've been redoing the bedroom, painting , wallpapering the whole works. But now I've got a mangy ole classic cold that's thrown me for a loop & All I want to do is lay around . Beleive I'll just forget about chores & all today & just play & be pitiful. Also, I'm hungary, thought you were supposed to lose your appetite when sick...think I'll just drink lots of tea & juice as I don;'t feel like fixin stuff. I think my medicine is kicking in Pat H.

had to share that I received dolls & fashions I ordered from Vogue Coll. in Canada...took longer tthan usual to receive ( 15 days instead of usual 7-10 ) I got the Malibu Barbie that was on sale for only $7 & they sent a little mirror to carry in your purse, it's covering came in either blue or red plastic with words Malibu Barbie on it...I don't know if this was special with Vogue or what but I never saw that for the ones for sale stateside...they've sold out of these dolls now. I also received the All that Glitters Barbie doll from the Diva doll for $20 ,reduced from $45 & she is the most beautiful of the entire Diva Coll. in my opinion She has beautiful brown skintone & the most gorgeous hair color, brown streaked with blonde hi lights But the Gene doll hatstands are the neatest things. They come in sets of 2 & each holds 3 hats & the cushion for them to set on is small enough that most Barbie or Candi hats would fit also...these are on sale for $6 , about half price.
