Well, our OLD cat died just before Thanksgiving 2 years ago. Since my son is allergic to pet dander anyway, we now have one fish-a Penguin Tetra-that is SOME fish. He/she/it has survived two house moves in the last 2 years. Not bad... Melissa
Nice to know there are so many cat lovers on this list!
We moved to a pet-free/allergy-free building this June, so we had to give up our one cat, "Misty". That was hard, but he's (yes, "Misty" is a male...I didn't name him) gone back to his original owner, and I get to visit him from time to time.
We now have a Japanese fighting fish (gift from a friend, for my daughter Emma) and a very new addition, our first Hamster, "Smartie". Not as much fun as a cat, but a pet nonetheless.
