Aren't there others on this List that experiment with makeovers?
I do some, but I don't make very many dolls. It's mostly due to time constraints, but also I experienced a doll burn-out earlier due to trying to get too many done too quickly. I found I wasn't enjoying myself too much then. Now I only work on them when I have time and when I feel like it, and sometimes it's hard to have both things at once. :) I am also somewhat insecure about my work, so I usually don't post anywhere except to my little website mailing list when I complete something. I very rarely sell dolls, preferring to do swaps. If anybody wants to swap, I am like Kathy in that I would take either an OOAK doll or something else in return. I am particularly open to swapping for vintage and mod Barbie & friends in any condition.
Anyhow, if anyone would like to peek, please do..... http://www.kimburie.com
The only one there that is homeless is the Sea Breeze Mermaid. I am going to get some new pictures up of her soon, since these really don't show her too well (and I managed to get her one cowlicky curl down, too).
Is anyone here attending the CustomDolls convention in Austin in 2 weeks?
