I highly recomend a hubby who looks at you with that hurt look on his
face,
as you drag in yet another doll. LOL He really is pretty good, but I can always tell when I have gone too far. He grumbled about the last ponytail I brought home, but she was only $50, so I stuck to my guns on that one. He also gave me a bad time about my number 3 that I spent $100.00 on, till I showed him what they were going for on Ebay.
If I look hurt, it's because I could never find a doll like that at that absurdly unheard of price. How in the world did you find a gem at that price?
He is less forgiving about
new dolls, but I am so cheap that unless they are really on sale, I don't buy them. Plus he is buying himself a new woodworking machine that is going to cost well over $1000, so I figure I am in the clear for a while.

I think I still spend more money on dolls, but my husband does overtly buy a lot of CDs from the BMG club. I know he gets his CDs for a lot less through the club than if he were to go to retail outlets, but if he gets within a hundred feet of a Best Buy he loses all self control.
Also, re your question about Cat woman. I think she can be
redressed,
but I have heard that the gloves/claws on her hands are painted on. Still interesting. Again, check Barbie Bazaar for some great photos. Even have some without her mask. She has some really pretty face paint.
I saw the Wonder Woman, Batgirl and the third in the superwomen dolls today at TRU. I lost all interest in them when I saw they have the tiny busts. And the costuming didn't wow me that much--I'm just not that big into comic book characters.
I still think we should plan for our Candichat garage sale. How aboutthe first weekend in Feb.

I don't do Paypal either, as I refuse to let them have access to my bank account, and they were charging too much to use them otherwise.
I just bought a Chelsie Generation Girl on eBay and got into a discussion with the seller as to the way he was able to verify that funds had been withdrawn from my checking account. Frankly, I hadn't figured out that my going the extra step to be a verified account that I had given PayPal the access to electronically withdraw funds. I thought by becoming a verified account I was just making myself look like a more reliable and honest bidder. But the seller doesn't know diddly about my reputation and doesn't care so long as PayPal is doing the transacting. What I did want to know was whether the seller made a conscious choice to only accept automatic fund transfers rather than taking credit card payments. My seller didn't even know if he'd made that choice and said he'd have to answer that question for himself.
The seller also itemized the list of assorted fees that go along with using PayPal or auction services. I was so green! I had no idea what a bargain my auctions really are! And I'm still willing to do personal checks, too. Boy, Kathy, we are dinosaurs!!
For the record, I don't own a cell phone either. LOL
Well, I pay for the comfort of having that phone, and it has come in handy, though it costs more than I like. Cell phones give me a piece of mind. But I will admit, I practically have my own accidents when I see people barely holding onto the steering wheel with one hand when making left turns and talking on cell phones at the same time. I've done periodic counts of 10 cars at a time and the number of people talking on cell phones and I get about 40% of drivers are talking on cell phones. I'm still not certain if I get bent out of shape over these folks talking on cell phones because I DO NOT have anyone that I want to talk to that much--or if I think they really do make driving hazardous. I know the research is still being done on the hazardous component. But I suspect the day of reckoning is coming and there will be a national law about driving and talking on cell phones.
