I liked the poem too, and can relate to it.
I've been working for 23 years non-stop. I get surprised looks and all kinds of questions when I tell people I want to stay home. I used to be hesitant to make that statement for fear of ridicule. But after years of seeing cutbacks in personnel, but not cutbacks in the work, I'm burned out.
Every woman's job is important whether it is working in a career, and/or raising children. We have to respect each other's choices.

I guess I have to get my 2cents in (for what's it's worth)
I like the poem, and yet can relate to June's comments as well...
I went to school, got my degree and was in the work force for many years...I was happy doing this and confident that I had made the right choice while all my friends around me were getting married and having children. I didn't bother what other people said or felt...that's THEIR issues & opinions, not mine.
Later I decided to have a child of my own, and I also became a 'stay home mother'...I had the double 'stigma' of also being a 'single mother'...again, I was confident I had made the right choices for ME...
...and I still am.
