Hi, Kathy & all, I also grew up with the original Barbie & even had a Twist & Turn and a Francie, but I really don't like the faces & mod styles & don't collect them. Sure there are good memories, but I like the variety of collecting faces that are real & varied. I have lots of Asian, AA, Candi, Integrity, etc. faces. Smiling Babs is also boring & that blond hair; I prefer redheads & ethnic styles like the Kenyan Barbie & others. Melissa
I notice that if you grew up with vintage and mod, you are more likely to like that look now. I personally can't stand the smiley blonds, but I never had one as a kid, and if you ask me, that is NOT what Babs looks like!
