I plead totally ignorant of the look of the newer Candis. Just haven't had the interest in doll collecting for the past year--sometimes this doll collecting can get overwhelming. But I do know, I agree completely that Candi couldn't be in better hands than with Jason and Integrity. It's almost like a love story with a happy ending when one considers how much of his own repainting and costume work Jason did with Candi when he was a collector posting regularly to this List. I don't think there was a more passionate lover of that doll than Jason. It's exciting to read and hear the collectors positive reviews of the business affiliation Jason now has with the doll. While I don't have to buy Candis to appreciate the ongoing developments, I do recognize the past is why there is a present and a promising future for Candi...pat Brown ----- Original Message ----- From: Rene O'Brien renendollz@yahoo.com To: candichat@dolls.de Sent: Monday, January 28, 2002 2:23 AM Subject: Question
For me, personally I never collected the older Candis. I saw them in shows but nothing really caught my eye. I do have one of the older ones that I like which is the 1997 Christmas Candi blond. She is pretty. But what REALLY got me hooked was when I saw the "Candi is back" ad in Barbie Bazaar last year with the new and improved Candi, the AA International doll. I believe that was Integrity's first ad of the new Candi.
Comparing the older Candis to the Newer Integrity ones I have to say Integrity's Candis' quality are much better. The sewing is consistant, and the face painting always perfect, and the packaging design is great! IMHO Candi can't be in better hands, and I really think she will blossom this year under the hands of Integrity. Can't wait to see the 2002 line.
