Hier kommt ein trauriger Nachtrag zu der Newsmeldung über Lauras Trennung von Doug und DLD Dolls International:

Am 2. Februar erreichte uns die Nachricht, dass Laura Meisner überraschend verschieden ist.

Ich habe Dir unten die Original-Nachricht angefügt; Mary ist eine enge Freundin von Laura, die auch im Zuge der Diskussion um ihren Weggang von DLD oft Nachrichten für sie gepostet hat. Was genau passiert ist, weiß keiner - Gerüchte sprechen davon, dass sie krank gewesen sei, vielleicht herzkrank, in jedem Fall war sie offensichtlich sehr deprimiert durch die Trennung von DLD. Ob nun die Aufregung einfach zuviel war, oder sie sich das Leben genommen hat, wie auch einige vermuten, ist im Moment noch nicht bekannt... :-(

She had asked me to tell all of you that she hoped her love of fashion, beauty and dolls would bring pleasure and joy to all those who have chosen to include her vision in their lives and she thanked you all from the bottom of her heart. Her husband, Danny, has asked that all of us who were touched by her life and work to perform a random act of kindness during this coming week. Laura would have liked that. She was a brilliant, talented, creative person but most of all she cared about people. Everyone had a story, everyone had value, everyone was important. She had a kind and generous heart and cared deeply about the lives and feelings and hopes and dreams of others. I was privileged to have her as my friend and I loved her dearly. I shall miss her every day for the rest of my life
