Ich habe auf den Link von René hin eine Mail in das dortige amerikanische Forum geschrieben und auffällig eine neue Kolumne eröffnet...

Und hier ist der original Wortlaut:

"What's the status quo with green ears considering Silkstone Barbies? Do you make any experiences? Today there was a terrible message in our German Barbie-mailing-list... And the pic from Margo L. shows the horrible damage that could happen by removing their earrings!!!! Are we collectors able to do something against Mattel, because the Silkstone series are not meant to be played with like the vintage Barbie was. Silkies should keep their beauty for decades, they ARE limited and of course expensive! Please feel free mailing to me how often Silkie's ears or her earrings have oxidated already. Thanks Klaus"

und was glaubt ihr - keine 10 Minuten später bekam ich folgende Mail von DOLL ATTIC (Sandi Holder) meiner US Silkstone Händlerin !!!!!!! :

Worauf ich geantwortet habe:

"Hi Sandi,  oh, you are mailing to me accidentally just in that moment, when our German Barbie-mailing-list is discussing the mystery of Silkie's green ear phenomenon and THERE ARE several SILKIES who DO have this problem! :-(  You, dear Sandi, do know, that I've bought lots of them and I adore and love them most besides Vintages!! If my MORE THAN  22 Silkstonies stay clean I won't cause any problems. If not, what is to do then?? Does Mattel know about this? And what will they do if a #1 or #2 will get "ill". What about her value then?  I think all Mattels chemists should have the know how about combinating several materials in such expensive dolls, that are limited editions on top of it all!  I will observe my Ladies very well. And, believe me, I'm just worried. But hope my girls will stay ok!! Kind regards Klaus & The Barbie-Gang  Wollte es euch nur wissen lassen - so zur "Beruhigung"

Und HÄNDE WEG von den Puppen. Mattel muss doch was zum Reklamieren bekommen können!!

PS: Wieso habe ich noch nicht die Mail von UTE in der sie über Regress und so geschrieben hat???
