I misunderstood that. Yes, that would allow reliable filtering on the recipient's end.
(Of course, quotes from a user who's set the prefix will have the prefix as well, so those who haven't set the prefix will get such quoted prefixes as well, but those who have set the prefix option should always get one.)
Is the mailing list software smart enough to detect a prefix after "Re:", or would a couple of replies back and forth yield "[GPC] Re: [GPC] Re: [GPC] Re: [GPC] Problem"?
