A new version of the GPC install script (install.gpc) is available from URL:

http://gnu-pascal.de/contrib/ernst/tools/install.gnu

Installations of gpc-2.1 (and older) have been made successfully on: SunOS 5.7 as user under AFS Linux, SuSe 7.3 as local user, as root, and as user under AFS

Users working under AFS und varying CPU architectures need to care about storing architecture dependent *.gpi, *.o files in different directories. This problem can't be solved by the installer.
