Hi - A couple of days ago I called to report random segmentation faults when running simple gpc compiled programs under linux 2.2.0-pre4. I'm just writing back to report that we discovered what the bug is, and it has nothing to do with gpc. Apparently linux 2.2 is suffering from a rather serious NFS bug which causes a byte to be lost during file transfer. Losing a byte when trying execute a program of course most likely result in a segmentation fault. This explains why the problem was inexplicably sporadic. Sorry for the bad bug report. ********************************************** The meek shall inherit nothing. - Frank Zappa ********************************************** _ Patrick Goetz _| ~-.
