Yes, that's an important information. This problem already was discussed on this list in March 1997. (You can look it up from the archives which are reachable from http://home.pages.de/~GNU-Pascal/support.html.)
To symlink `libgpc.so -> libgpc.so.2' in `/usr/lib' was reported to work.
