I think if the Gift Sets prove popular enough, we will see more of them in the line next year. I would have liked to see a few more fashions in the line this year, myself. BTW, Ami, I had responded to your message. I'll resend just to be on the safe side! Please allow me say here that e-mail response time is slower than I would like it to be right now. E-mail and phone calls are very heavy, so please be a little patient with me. I've seen excitement in the past as new dolls were debuted at Toy Fair but the furor over everything coming from Integrity this year is amazing! I am so happy for Jason and Integrity and for us as well, LOL! Here is the information that I have been given as to what to expect Candiwise next fall: Candi Classics #2(available in 2 variations) 2 more Manhattan Moods dolls 2 more Fashion Forward dolls Candi Basics Collection(7 ethnicities) Candi Basic Wear Collection (4 fashions) Candi Holiday Gift Set (3 variations) Looks like the fashions you want will be appearing then but I don't have dates or pricing. The Russian will be in the Candi Basics Collection and the preliminary indication to me is that they are trying to keep these dolls priced at less than $20. We'll have to see if that works out because I know Jason is still finishing the designs and then they will have to be costed out. If there are requests other than fashions, which I'm always asking for LOL, please feel free to let me know what they are. I'll be happy to pass requests along to Integrity and Jason. They are also a company that listens to collectors, so never hesitate to e-mail customer service with requests. Isn't all this excitement fun?! Pat was right, the lull is most definitely over. Yes, Jason did the screening for all the new Candis, the new Integrity play line and, of course, his new Adele & Veronique dolls. Hi Pat, Even with the flaming red Ariel hair! Just let me know when you find that set! LOL As far as time, my OOAKs average 10 to 15 hours, unless I reroot, then don't ask! Depends on what I am doing. Some dolls start with the face and hair and then get dressed and others get the clothes made first. I think it depends on where the idea comes from. Silk N Brocade got the clothes first, and the Copper Midge got the doll first. She actually sat around naked for a while even. It also depends on how many times I have to do things over. I had to do the midges eyes twice and make her top twice as I wasn't happy with the fit. First time was a pattern, and the second time was my own, but with the new body it fit better. The one I am on is the one moderated by Rebecca Chulew. I don't have time for two, and Jims board occasionally devolves into scawbbling that I don't like to deal with. I have only had one dissapointing swap on the board, and I am not real sure what happened, but I chalked it up to an inexperienced customizer, and ignored it. In general on that board the swaps are very good, as each person is trying really hard to please the other as a matter of honor. Also, almost all the dolls get shown, so they better look good! Many of my last swaps were people who wanted contest dolls, so that was easy for me. For anyone insterested in customizing, the boards are a wonderful resource. There are some amazingly talented people there, and most of them are super about sharing their secrets. We have people who are multiple winners in the BMAA, and other contests as well. Tess Barton, who designed the Gold Rush fashion for Candi is a member ( and super sweet too. you should see my swap from her!) as well as Bill Jones who was on this list and designed the wonderful Oberon and Titania that won BMAA a couple of years ago. Too many other talented artists to mention, so it is well worth your while. List is open by approval, and you can spend as much time as you like just lurking. Nothing in the Austin area that I have come across either. I have a customer in Beaumont, TX who found the Heat Wave Alysa but no Janay. Goodness, Beaumont, TX and not in some major cities of the country! I can't imagine how they determine which stores will get what, LOL! Hi All, Hmmm. Looks like Candi is going to get waaaay more of my money than Mattel this year. The Russian face is stunning, and I must have that Israeli gift set. Suzanne, do you know if there are going to be any just fashions this year? I love the dolls, but I like to redress too. I also am saving a place in my budget for the Adele/veronique collection. for the new Alysa at K mart stores here in my area, nothing at this time. Of course all the stores in my area, only have a limited amount of fashion dolls, shelves are not full. Have a feeling these will be amoung the lst to close Pat Feick
