Hi Pat and all, It is pretty funny that you should mention this now, as just yesterday I took a pic of a whole group of my work that I have right now. I very seldom have this many of my things at once, so it was kinda fun to put them together. Meant to be a table doll, but I have heard they are making their own, so I suppose she will be for sale in my room. Silk N Brocade. I just finished this one to send to the Custom dolls convention. She will be available at the charity auction. I have heard rumors that some of this will be online, so available to the puplic. Copper Midge. Randall, this one is your fault, as I did a quick repaint on a doll to send to you to cheer you up. When you graciously declined, she got this outfit. Lunch in the City. This one is a swap doll for Anita Healey, when we ever get around to it. I used a human pattern on this one, and scaled it down. It was fun making that little sweater. Rebecca, Another table doll. Spendour Again, Auction doll for Grants a Wish. I too can only swap for custom dolls. I have actually bought a couple, but only because they were very good deals from second owners ( I have a Mary Ferretti, and a James Bogue I got that way ) Pat, I actually still have that Poison Ivy doll, but I wouldn't send it to you for anything, as I have improved so much since I did that! I am open to swapping OOAKs for new dolls though, and could be persuaded to make you a Poison Ivy for the right swap! I missed out on the Munsters set, and would do that in a minute. This goes for other people as well. If you would like one of my dolls, let me know, and I bet we can work something out. As far as time to work. Grayson does still take a nap once in a while! I have gotten more confident, and therefor quicker. I was able to complete Silk N Brocade in just a week. ( about 12 hours or so working time ) I try to work before he gets up, after hubby has gone to work, and during his nap, and if nessecary, in the evenings a little before I go to bed. I spend time laying awake in bed designing things in my head! so that is working time too. Sorry for the novel! It is Sunday, and I had time to write. LOL Kathy M. >Yep. What? Our Pat smokin', LOL! Seriously, though, I think MiKelman's style is more distinct and this is probably due in part to what he has learned has to be done for commercial purposes. This was something that Jason learned, too. IMO, Jason's style is softer than MiKelman's is, though. This goes back to MiKelman's heavier hand on eyes, also just my opinion. Tough question to answer, Pat. Personal opinion plays a major factor in comparing the screenings, LOL. In my opinion, MiKelman's screenings were more dramatic. He has always gone in for a fairly heavy "made up"(like in make up, not fantasy) look in the eyes of his creations. Ken, on the other hand, paints dolls more like they are real women.
