Russian Candi

I must admit, I hadn't paid much attention to the Candi dolls with the Russian head mold. Now (after they're sold out) I see that they are beautiful. I especially like the Paparazi Python doll. Oh well, I have too many dolls anyhow ... Randall

Exclusive Fashion

Hi there, I just wanted to update you all on the progress of the exclusive fashion. This is a very wordy e-mail but for all those interested in the fashion please read it in it's entirity. I hope you all are as excited as I am! I just had lunch with Oscar who is, very graciously, acting as the go-between and setting up the manufacturing. I have designed two outfits, one is a suit and one is a skirt and top. I am going to be making the samples this next week (you will see pics and I welcome all of your comments and suggestions). Then my samples will be sent, along with the patterns, fabrics, and notions, to Columbia (BTW, the facility that we will be utilizing is not a huge factory, they use a couture type method of sewing). There the counter sample will be made. The counter sample will be the same as the production fashion. It is done so that I can approve of how everything is manufactured and also so the manufacturer can determine their pricing. I am going to try my best to keep the pricing as low as possible. I am defenitely aiming for under $35. However, these designs take a lot of work to execute and the only two deciding factors in determining price are the cost of supplies and the cost of manufacturing. Hopefully everything will go smoothly and you all will get to vote on the two counter samples and choose which one you like the best! The list of people interested is below. Including myself there are 21 interested persons. After the counter samples and pricing are approved (by me and then the group) then a deposit will be required for your fashion. The remainder will be due after completion of the fashions and before shipping. Oh, the packaging is on it's way to me as well! Please feel free to share all of your comments and questions! Hi All, I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Mothers Day. Everyone that has their Mom - please realize how so very blessed you are. I lost my Mom in 1992. I have my Mother-In-Law left who is a wonderful person and my husband, his Sister and I are taking her out to Dinner tomorrow. Meanwhile, I got flowers and a beautiful balloon and of course dolls from my Husband and my little toy poodle, Giorgio! Wishing you all a great day! Karla

Who is she?

Hi Everybody, I have a Candi I need help with. She's the Christmas Candi from 1999 (I think). There was just the one doll -- red sequined gown, black wavy hair, green eyeshadow, big gold bow tied at the waist. Does anyone know the sculpt used for this doll? Is there somewhere I could post a picture so you could see her? Exclusive Fashion

Hello! I have been wanting to touch bases with you all regarding the exclusive fashion. My master list is saved on my computer in the studio and we are having technical difficulties. However, at this point it looks like we are going to have a LE of 25 or 30. I am going to do several different designs for us to choose from. I am going to be doing a fabric shopping trip in Miami next week. There are lots of great fabric stores there so that will be my first step in the process, seeing what fabric is available. I am currently working on packaging. I want a lot of input from the group as we go along! Please take note that this is going to take a while to get this project together. I have been very busy filling orders lately and I want everything to be done the best way possible. BUT I am dedicated to doing it, I think it will be a great opportunity for us all.
