OT: Silkstone Head Switching?

Hi, Sorry for the cross-posting (and OT) but I am hoping that somebody out there has some advice for me on Silkstone Barbie head switching. I was doing a photo shoot the other day and my blonde Silkstone got bumped, fell over and her head broke off. It's amazing to me that Mattel uses such a thin piece of plastic to hold the head on this very heavy doll. Nonetheless, I need a blonde for a photo shoot so I need to put her head on another Silkstone Body. However, in attempt of head switching I don't want to break another neck knob. I plan on heating the head to soften it before removing, any more advice? If you have any disaster or success stories please share. Thanks so much, Randall

Doll Display Boxes

Hi All, Does anyone know where I can get display boxes to put some of my 11-1/2 dolls in? I am thinking of just a basic see-thru front box. Any info. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Karla Hope everyone is having a great summer.

Hi Guys, I am trying to find out what happened and who got the dolls I did for centerpieces for the FDM convention, IN the link below from Katys Kollectibles in the pic one of my dolls is the JANAY in the center of the picture with the salmon colored dress with salmon colored chiffon and white shoes and handpainted hat, She was located at TABLE 8, SO if anyone knows who got her or whatever please e-mail me and let me know, I am just curious about where they went. The other doll was for the evening banquet and was an ALYSA doll with short redhair in a sidepart bob and was wearing a golden colored satin dress with the bodice beaded and sequined with red/black/gold sequins and beads and the design went down the side of the dress, she had a black fur wrap that had 3 fur tails attached in each side with gold beads. I am not sure where she was located, but if anyone knows, please let me know, Just wanted to make sure they got new homes and curious about who got them! TTYS Kevin

Hi all! I am going to stick my head out for just a minute to clear this up. I have just returned from the First International Fashion Doll convention and had a wonderful time! The blank doll you are asking about is the new Designer Kit from Integrity. At the IFDC luncheon, Jason presented everyone with one of these kits. It contains an articulated doll body; doll head(rooted but with blank face); spool of doll hair fiber; basic dress pattern and instruction sheet. The hair colors that were presented were blue; bright red; blonde and brunette. There is also a natural red that is on the way to myself and Katy's Kollectibles. We will have them in stock late next week. These kits are priced at only $12.99! A fabulous deal, imho. Integrity ran some extras of the kits that Katy and I were given to offer in the sales room, to see if there was any demand for them. Demand was an understatement, LOL, so the decision to add them to the list of Integrity offerings was a "yes". The other colors will now be put back into production and we will probably see additional hair colors added as well. I was told this morning that a restock should be possible in about 60 days but am unable to offer a final list of hair colors as of this writing. Oh, wow. Thanks, Elizabeth. Those photos look like what everyone's been talking about. They're a makeover artist's dream. The hands are articulated, too! I appreciate you coming up with the pics.
