are you still collecting dolls? I have slowed way down because things got out of hand & also I have no room. Still not ready to give them up tho . A friend sold her dolls a few years ago just as the market was beginning to drop for Barbie...I'd never recoup what I paid for my Barbies. Also Still have all my Candi dolls & a few Jason Wu such as this Chic Escape, before they got so expensive Pat H. On May 18, 2007, at 5:30 PM, Mary Westmoreland wrote:
Wow. I don't know what Chic goes for on the secondary market, but I think I paid around $35 when she came out. It's crazy what Fashion Royalty has done in the doll world!

Hi Pat,
Oh yes, I am still collecting, but really only Fashion Royalty though...also some of the Silkstones, and maybe a Momoko or Susie here and there. I am also out of room so I am having to try to be more selective with my Fashion Royalty girls. And like you said, they have gotten so expensive. Problem is I like them all. LOL!
I still have most of my collector Barbies and even some playlines from back when I first started and had to buy everything. I know what you mean about selling them and not being able to recoup your money...no one even wants the collector dolls anymore. I think this Christmas I will really clean my closets and donate all the playlines to one of the local toy drives.
I did love the Candi dolls and the price was right on them. I do think a lot of collectors are getting a little priced out of the FR market. ()() ( " ) Mary ( )o
