I no longer light candles, since a friend had one hundred fifty
thousand dollars damage to her home about 2 years ago, due to a burning candle
"Lighting a candle" is pretty much a metaphor for me, too. I love candles, but I don't trust unattended fire and I have 4 cats that I don't trust much either. I have some Catholic friends who keep at least one candle burning 24 hours a day. I don't think I could sleep at night if I left a candle going.
I appreciate the thought. I won't be happy until Natasha is home, safe and sound, for good.
