Hi All, For those into the Fashion Royalty, this pic has been posted on their web site. It is the latest fashion Pak exclusive to Suzanne and Katys. If you haven't gotten any of these fashions, I strongly suggest you give them a try. They are just wonderful and so well made. They look stunning on just about any doll, but get them quick, as they sell out VERY quickly.

Hi, CandiChatters: Happy Holidays!
Bring me up to speed here. How are most of you keeping up with the new lines of Integrity fashion dolls? Are you all visiting a website regularly, or do you find out about the new lines by word of mouth or some fashion doll magazine? I don't want to start taking any more doll magazine subscriptions because I can never stand to part with them--there's always some information I'll be looking for later--so better I never let them in the house in the house in the first place. I'm better getting information on an as-I-need-to-know basis. So, please tell me how you all keep up with the latest lines from Integrity.
By the way, the doll that Silvana pictured in her Holiday Greetings to the list, do most of you have that doll, too? Thx, Pat Brown ----- Original Message ----- From: "mroczko" mroczko@verinet.com To: candichat@dolls.de Sent: Friday, December 26, 2003 8:56 AM Subject: Preview pics

Hello fellow Candi-chatters,
I hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmas... and that you are enjoying the holidays!
Did anybody get any new dolls for Christmas, that they would like to share? I would love to see pictures.
If there is anyone in the group who can't share picturs through a link...if they want to send me the pics (attachments) to my address (as candi-chat doesn't allow attachments), I will post them to my Ink Frog and give the URL(link) so that we can share the pics with the group...just be sure to mention something doll related in the subject.
Pat Brown, you asked about keeping up with Integrity dolls...
I keep up with the dolls through different yahoo-groups, and this one, and from bulletin boards like these:
Deb Sprouse's Pink Parlour: http://members5.boardhost.com/pinkparlor/index.html?1058759393
and
Katy's Fashion Royalty: http://members5.boardhost.com/katyindfq/index.html?1057561120
and through Pat Feick, of Pat's Potpourri:
Since I am the one building/working on her website, I get to see what is in and new, etc. I also end up seeing more dolls 'I must have'. hehe.
That doll on Silvana's greeting card is the 'Aria' Icon doll, I think? (is that right, Silvana?) she's been made-over a bit, to resemble Silvana herself. :) Very lovely doll. She was an exclusive to Suzanne and Katy, I believe.
I just got some new dolls myself this week, and I would love to share some redressed pics with you all. These are 3 brand new exclusives to Pat's Potpourri...
'Iceland Ball' ALYSA - w/pink hair: - her facial screening is lovely, as she has hazel/brown eyes and deep-wine coloured lipstick, both a nice contrast to her light pink hair:

And my favourite.... 'Urban Salon' GISELLE - w/raven hair: - she reminds me of Candi dolls, and is so gorgeous in person! The black hair contrasts lovely with her pale skin:

I've got some more dolls to share, but I still need to edit the pics, so I will be back...I hope you enjoy these pictures.
Talk to everyone soon!

Hi, Pat! All the sources mentioned so far are good but the one that helps keep me up-to-date with the most immediate (and I do mean immediate!) info is the Fashion Royalty group on Yahoo. It's devoted strictly to the Fashion Royalty dolls only so you don't have to wade through any other postings about any other dolls to find out what you want to know. As Kathy mentioned, if you wait to get the news via magazines or any of the other usual sources, you'll miss out on many, if not most, of these dolls. They're simply too hot, too popular, and too limited. In the case of these dolls, "need to know basis" really becomes "know as soon as possible," otherwise it's "know thy secondary market prices." I can identify with what you mean about the magazines piling up. I never throw any of mine away either! LOL
Better yet, give someone like Suzanne at Doll Dreams and Cuddly Things (or your favorite FR dealer) a quick call and she'll update you on any upcoming dolls and fashions that are still available. All of the 2003 fall/winter releases are pretty much sold out already although some dealers still have a few Purple Factor Adele dolls and Fashion Currency outfits left. The Mauve Absolues and the Fashion Plate giftsets are gone as well as the special limited edition Fashion Plate giftsets that were exclusive to Doll Dreams and Cuddly Things and Katy's Kollectibles. The Exotica Adele is still available for pre-order but is also selling out quickly. This coming Toy Fair in February will probably make these dolls explode even more, if that's even possible. The furor they've caused already is quite remarkable. All the dealers I know say they've never seen anything like it in the doll collecting community, ever. Hope this helps a bit! Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!

Thanks, all , for your discussion on how you keep up with the Integrity doll lines. Colin, thank you for providing me the Fashion Royalty link, as Leanne has agreed with you that it is an excellent resource.
Well, folks, while I would love to get involved with buying more dolls, I will just have to wait and see how my current collection defines itself before buying newer dolls. I hate to be a nag, but I still haven't gotten a definitive answer as to WHO the doll was that was in Silvana's holiday greetings photo. I'm dense: I do not know this doll and her identity must be clearly spelled out for me. Is she one of the Fashion Royalty dolls? Which lines from Integrity have more limbs jointed than at the usual hips, and shoulders and neck? Are all the newer Integrity dolls larger than the typical 11.5" fashion dolls? I could spend hours perusing the websites you've all suggested, but then I'd be too sorely tempted to buy. If I can get my information from the tiny old CandiChat I do not get myself into trouble--unless you are all very intentionally trying to enable me into doll substance abuse--that wouldn't be very nice of you--who I have come to trust, LOL!
Have a great deal more of future eBaying I must do this year. Yuck! Slogging through my crappy doll collection has not been fun, thus far. While I'd like to say it's my new year's resolution to get my out-dated collection refined this coming year, the task is daunting because sales on eBay are so appalling for many of my dolls. But what bugs me more is what I perceive are sloppy eBay bidders. PayPal has taken the personal touch out of the eBay experience and bidders seem to have gotten more irresponsible about their commitment to the purchase. I know I sound like a broken record, but there is a trend that I am personally encountering that buyers take an inordinate amount of time to make payments if not by PayPal. I think I must be a dinosaur and my style of eBay selling is just going to have to be modified to reflect the expectations of the market. Only it's taking me awhile to make the adjustment. In the meantime, I'll just kvetch in cyberspace and on CandiChat.
Any of you have any new year's resolutions for your doll collecting? TTYL, Pat Brown

Hi Pat,
Haven't you got my mail dd 26/12? I send you here a copie, for beeing sure that you get it, to the list so as at your private adresse.
No, she isn't a Fashion Royalty, she's a Playline doll from Interity, Icon Aria. I bought her by Suzanne http://members.aol.com/dolldrms/integrity.htm from DD&CT. Go to "Icons" and you will find her.
Please tell me what the history of the doll at the center is: her wrists move. Is that a feature of the doll and what line is this doll? I'm not to date on any newer Candis or Fashion Royalty dolls so I need to be educated. Thank you, Pat Brown
On my payge I indicated her excact name and provenience. http://mypage.bluewin.ch/vana/candi/pvanina.html Here you can see who she is and how she looked before I repainted her. :-) Her wrists are movable, you can see the jointage. Her elbows are movable too, but you don't see anything, it is the same style as on the knees. The knees have three clicks and the elbows can be fixed in every position, w/o clicks.

doll
Yeah, Silvana! I finally got the answer. And I think you gave it to me the first time but I didn't make the connection with the name of the line as being the Icon line. Why I didn't get it--well, these days, my mind is racing and I have a hard time just keeping up with my own thoughts. Sorry for the inconvenience, but being a nag finally got my mind straight.
I immediately linked my way to Suzanne's and have inquired about placing an order for the dolls.
Yes! It's true. I have broken down in a fit of an Ordering Orgy for NEW dolls. Now eBay is beginning to look a lot less irritating if I know I'm replacing the old with new. Will let you all know how things go.
Thanks, again, Silvana. I got the message this time! LOL! Her elbows are movable too, but you don't see anything, it is the same style as on the knees. The knees have three clicks and the elbows can be fixed in every position, w/o clicks.

Hi Pat,
Haven't you got my mail dd 26/12? I send you here a copie, for beeing sure that you get it, to the list so as at your private adresse.
No, she isn't a Fashion Royalty, she's a Playline doll from Interity, Icon Aria. I bought her by Suzanne http://members.aol.com/dolldrms/integrity.htm from DD&CT. Go to "Icons" and you will find her.

Hi, Pat and everyone! Yes, I have some New Year's resolutions for my doll collecting, to be sure.
1) First and foremost, to buy ONLY what I absolutely love, no more and no less. For me that has meant a lot fewer Barbies these past 2 years. The only series of Mattels' that I still favor are the Mackie series, the Designer series, and the Pop Culture series. I will break down and get the 2 Lounge Kitties though. With 14 felines already running around the house, how could I not? LOL Other than that, it's Integrity's Fashion Royalty collectible line and their playline as well as the odd Tonner or Ashton Drake exotic like Esme or Violet Waters. Will definitely still buy Candi if and when she resurfaces with Integrity but only time will tell on that. I also still love those great OOAK dolls!!
2) To weed out any and all dolls that I am less than enchanted with from my collection along with any and all duplicates and either trade, donate, or sell them off to make more room and allow for more focus within the collection itself.
3) To really work on my displays. My OOAKs and Mackies are done in that respect but many others are dying to be displayed better. I have so much great stuff that I've squirreled away for dioramas that's just itching to be used. One idea is an Oscar or Emmy night diorama with many glamorously gowned dolls mixing on the red carpet (I have a double section of red carpet with gold metal posts and red ropes from the displays for the Mattel Bob Mackie Rumway series that started with Radiant Redhead and Brunette Brilliance) with the following celebrity dolls: Pierce Brosnan, Diana Ross, Sean Connery, Cher, Roger Moore, Telly Savalas, Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz, Audrey Hepburn, Bob Hope, Christopher Lee, Vivien Leigh, Clark Gable, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, James Dean, Elizabeth Taylor, Reese Witherspoon, Marlo Thomas, Elizabeth Montgomery, Olivia Newton-John, Barbara Eden, Brandy, MC Hammer, Lucy Lui, Cameron Diaz, etc. That one's going to take some time to do it right. A few of the Ken dolls from the Raiders set would look great as beefy security guys dressed up in tuxedoes. <Wink>
That's pretty much it! Hope everyone has a happy and safe New Year!!!

Any of you have any new year's resolutions for your doll collecting?
TTYL,
Pat Brown
It is stunning, isn't it? Melissa
Hi All, For those into the Fashion Royalty, this pic has been posted on their web site. It is the latest fashion Pak exclusive to Suzanne and Katys.
If
you haven't gotten any of these fashions, I strongly suggest you give them a try. They are just wonderful and so well made. They look stunning on just about any doll, but get them quick, as they sell out VERY quickly.

Will these fit an 11.5" doll?
It's gorgeous.
