HI All, My, we have been quiet around here. Guess that's what happens when spring gets here. I have had to spend a little more time inside than I planned these last couple of days, as there is a pretty large ( 3500 acre) fire burning in the foothills a few miles from our house. Lots of smoke. Too much to be outside. It has taken one home, and many are threatened. We are supposed to get some rain this afternoon, but a storm moving in means wind, and that is the last thing they need. My MIL works at the P.O. in the little town that may be evacuated next, and I may be up there dragging papers out of the office, so they don't lose the records. What a mess. We have been looking for some land to build a new house, and several realtors have sent us looking that direction. Guess we know where we DON'T want the land. LOL As it is, the piece we have liked the best is only a couple of miles and accross a highway from the fire. Kinda scary. It will be a long summer around here.
Anyway, what I really wanted to ask, is if anyone has any links or expertise in restoration of rubber dolls? I have a friend with a darling little baby doll that has a huge tear around the neck area. ( bad spot for it) and was wondering if there is anything she can do to get her back together. It is a childhood doll, so has sentimental value. I have used Plastix on the vinyl of Barbies, but I have no idea if that is possible with the rubber. I am also worried that if you fix one area, the others will tear, as it is pretty old. Any ideas? Or know of anyone I could ask? Any ideas will be appreciated. Hope you all are having a great spring.

Hope the fires keep their distance, Kathy! Yikes! We are having a nice steady rain for several days now. Wish I could send you some. I know nothing about doll repairs, but you could check with Barb Fowler at BG's Doll Hospital at www.bgsdollhouse.com. Good luck! Melissa in MD
