OK lets not start something political on here, I happen to be a liberal and I don't think we can lump all liberal people in that same group! Just remember there are bad apples in EVERY group of people, liberal and conservative alike!!
Thank you Kevin!!
June, I think your post was way out of line on a lot of levels. I'm a rabid liberal and I pay my bills. Not paying bills has anything to do with one's political agenda. For that matter, I don't think it has anything to do with being AA either! Nor does being liberal equate wanting handouts, either. I can't even remember how many unprofessional/unreliable/incompetent men I've done business with and no one seems to think it is a reflection of the business ethics of the male gender. And, just for the record, most liberals are not members of any minority. They are male and they are white. There just aren't enough of them with the backbone to stand up for what they believe in and vote their conscience. Let's not go there.
I think we can discuss this issue without mud slinging. (Some of you may prove me wrong.)
some folks who actually have trouble paying bills sometimes thru no fault of their own and I don't think it would be fair to call them thieves.
Again, Kevin, thank you. Sometimes when people can't pay their bills it's called poverty!

I promise I won't talk politics anymore but what I said is the absolute truth. Too many excuses have been offered by individuals like HH and I think there is a tie in with their own ethical code, otherwise patterns of behavior would not continually repeat themselves. Back to doll talk, do any of you have any prototype Candis and if so, which ones and how much did they cost you??

June (or, someone else) would you educate me on what a prototype doll is? Are they special in some way, in terms of owning one? Thanks. (You guys have taught me heaps about dolls over the years.)Robin

Hi, Robin! Thought someone would have gotten back to you by now on this... As I understand it, a prototype is the original of a doll/outfit that is made by the designer. From there it is taken to production. Sometimes the makeup is changed a little bit for mass production or the fabric is a little different. It is definitely OOAK & therefore highly valued if you can get one. Most of the photos we see of Mattel dolls, etc are of the prototype HENCE they don't look quite the same when you see them on the shelf. Sometimes for the better; sometimes for the worse. Hope that helps some... Melissa

Thanks, Melissa, that does help. I'm interested in knowing how one acquires a prototype doll. I'm just curious, and not looking for one. Robin
