I don't know. If somebody does, please post a short explanation of those `libfoo.so.42' stuff - or a pointer (URL) to such an explanation - to this list.
To make your GPC work you can download one of our binary distributions - ftp://kampi.hut.fi/jtv/gnu-pascal/binary/ - and install the `libgpc.a' included there. Of course a shared library is more reasonable, but I don't know enough about them to help you with them, sorry.
