Binary installation

Hello, Sorry to bother with a question that is probably trivial, but I did something wrong installing the 9707 beta binary for Linux and now can't get gpc to work. Instead, I get the following error messages: numeric constant with no digits numeric constant with no digits warning: missing program header In function 'program_noname' parse error at null character I'll appreciate any help you might offer, so that I can correct my blunder.
