I plan on using them to fill gaps where OS specific stuff is concerned, File I/O, Network I/O, etc.

I know it doens't, but I don't like Borland's API.
(* BTW: BGI2GRX doesn't use Borland's inefficient BGI drivers and such, it just provides the same (nearly) interface as Borland's Graph unit. *)
