I really don't know but the first thing to check with a segmentation fault is that it isn't a stack overflow. You can try to compile with --stack-checking or --stack-check or you can increase the system limit for the stack size (command "limit" or "ulimit" ??). I wouldn't stick with gpc 2.1 by the way, even if it is labeled the latest stable release version. Regards, Adriaan van Os
