Please start with a fresh copy of 3.2.3 (not one with the previous GPC patch already applied, which is contained in the new one). But if it's too much work for you now, don't work. Just retry it with a future backend version (when the preprocessor has been integrated etc.) sometime. As I wrote, it doesn't seem very important now.
I think we probably should leave it for now.
