1) why weren't there the sources ready to be compiled?
I'm not releasing the sources yet, perhaps at some later time. Currently, the sources are not in a shape that I want to release them, sorry...
oh, i was afraid u weren't going to release them at all :(
2) i download the appropriate binary, and here's the result: ./peng: error in loading shared libraries : undefined symbol: __register_frame_info
This is a problem with glibc and programs compiled under SuSE Linux (as PENG was) running under other distributions. Thanks for pointing it out.
Under http://sdb.suse.de/sdb/de/html/kukuk_regframe.html, they provide a solution. Since the page seems to be available only in German, I append below a translation made by the Alta Vista translator (the language is a bit funny, but mostly readable ;-).
The URL given is also wrong. The correct one is ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse_update/6.1/a1/regframe.rpm
You can also wait a few days for the next release. I will link that version statically to avoid such kinds of problems.
i'll try to work it out. anyway, when the next release will be ready, i'll try it again. thanks, -- Nicola Girardi girardi(at)keycomm.it Key fingerprint = CD 7D 57 C2 52 73 67 B5 13 48 AA 8C 3E 7F 13 DC
