Robin, it's wonderful - but please tell Candi not to leave that coffee or tea cup on the computer - it's just waiting to leap into the keyboard and give her a really bad day. The IT manager will hit the roof. Love those mini arch lever file binders on the book shelves. I can remember it happening to a workmate of mine. Oooooooooooh was there trouble! We all got the lecture - even about having a coffee cup on the desk - talk about paranoid. But then computers were a lot more expensive in those days. Must go an check out the new Candis I keep seeing in BB. Hi All, Robin, great scene. I love those little gidgets and things for dolls. Fun to look for, but some people just have a great eye for seeing them in odd places. Got my holiday toast asian doll from Suzanne. Wowza. I love everything about this gal. If you haven't picked up at least one of these, order one now. Super dress that fits beautifully, great hair and makeup ( how often can you say great hair about a Mattel doll?) and the champagne set is about the cutest thing I have ever seen. I am so happy to be getting Candi dolls again. I remember all the reasons I fell in love with her, and in Jasons capable hands she has blossomed even more. I am so proud to be able to say we knew him when! I have also noticed that with the new Candis I am not as tempted to change clothes as I am with babs. Usually with Babs, the first thing I do is remove the dress. Sometimes it is just to find all the stupid tape that Mattel, uses, but it usually doesn't go back on either. LOL Well, gotta run. I am trying desperately to get some work done on a doll for a contest, and life keeps getting in the way. Today the hubby wants to go get the Christmas tree. Geez. I jsut wrote all the Christmas cards, what more does he want? LOL AND he will not have to be home all week with a two year old and a fully decorated tree. Will let you know if I am insane soon. Elizabeth, your last message didn't go through to the list so I thought i'd forward it for ya:) XXOOO Rene I absolutely agree with you, Rene. The quality IS high. The fabrics chosen are really high quality, expensive ones...the attention to detail, and the finishing is the best I've seen for an 11 1/2" doll! Just take a look at the fabric used on "White Blossoms in Bloom"'s dress...that fabric is not cheap! Plus, these dresses are lined--just like the larger fashion dolls' ones--and a they have done a really super job at it too! So good in fact, that I don't have any desire what-so-ever to remove their clothing and replace it with something else (which is what I usually do). Yes, I think the new Candi fashions are very much like the bigger dolls' fashions in quality. I'm more than pleased and can't wait to see what's next!!!! I just went to the Integrity Candi site and they have some updated info on their "news" page (featuring Suzanne's fashion!)go to www.candi.integritytoys.com the in the news section. Are we allowed to go see the toyfair showroom? Anyone been to toyfair? Also, anyone noticed that the Hamilton Candi site is down again? Hi all, Just wanted to share. I found a vintage Babs dress yesterday at a thrift store. I got Fancy Free ( the little red and blue sun dress ) for $2.50. I also found a cute sweater for me for $2.00. And then it hit me. No matter what I spend, I spend more on doll clothes than on me! Anybody else spend more on doll clothes than on themselves? Everyone! LOL Kathy M. Frivolities Antiques Ft. Sticking my head out from shipping for a moment to answer the question on the Asian doll's skin tone. Yes, this is a new skin tone for her. For those who have the International Asian, when you put them side by side the difference will immediately be apparent to you. The dresses are made of dupioni (hope I spelled that right, LOL) silk and wonderfully done. Actually, rather than being a Christmas card, Jason intended it to be an invitation for a New Year's Eve party. I'm sure he won't care, though, that collectors make it whatever their hearts desire, :-).
