June, that is terrible, I can remember when I first started to buy on e
bay
and did not have a rating, then it takes years to build a rating and
they loose it.
I do sell Candi dolls and Kingstate shoes on e bay, but over the past 4
years
80% of my sales have been personal items from my collections, books,
items for my daughter and friends. I have tried selling on Yahoo, and
wind
up not getting bids. I have never tried bidville, but I understand it
is the same
way. Used to sell on Amazon but had too many non paying bidders, and
again very few sales. Unfortunately we are at the mercy of e bay,
because
it seems that is where everyone goes to buy. I recently tried yahoo
again,
and wound up loosing money after I paid all the fees because only 2
aucitons
had bids. If I had a choice, I would stop selling on e bay altogether.
My
next project is to sell approximately 200 plus hallmark ornaments for my
daughter. She has a collection of over 500 and has decided to downsize.
I am going to try putting some on other autcion sites to see what
happens.
Have a great day
Pat
