Nervous in New Jersey - HELP!

Hi Karla, I have a daughter who is now almost 22 months old. About 6 or so months ago, she started to get interest in "playing" (more like, dragging around) with a porcelain doll I have had for years, that I have had standing on my living room carpet in her doll stand! It wasn't an expensive one, I just got her because I liked her face and auburn ringlets. Her hair was so pretty and the ringlets were soft and perfect, but now the hair is a total mess of frizz....you can still see the ringlets, but they are pretty frizzy! I'm not sure if your granddaughter would even be interested in your dolls yet, being that she is barely one year old. Is she walking or active yet? I don't think my daughter bothered with that doll quite yet at 12 months, but your granddaughter could be different. I guess it depends on how expensive your dolls are. I assume they are standing on carpet like mine? If yes, then the porcelain probably wouldn't break if they tipped over. But like what happened to mine, the hair became a mess. Of course, that was after my daughter had dragged her around and held her numerous times. Now that the doll is a mess, she hardly bothers with it! Good luck and enjoy your visit with her! Crystal

Hi Karla, The way it was originally was --- http://www.dollfasionsbyalana.com, leaving the H out of the word fashions, Thats what was left out of the URL for Alanas addy, I just added the Hinto the url in the words fasions making it fashions instead and it worked fine then! I have lucked into some of Candy Spelling's Fantasy dolls at a very good price. These beautiful dolls are very high quality vinyl with inset eyes and wigs. Sculpted by Sandra Bilotto. I have been told and have also read several places on the internet that these dolls were produced by Madame Alexander. They are about 8" tall. Retail on these dolls is usually $65.00. They are limited to 1500 each style. Each doll is hand numbered! Outfits are very high quality with metal snaps and complete with undergarments, etc. No detail spared. Even if you're not interested in these dolls please look at the pictures. I had my bf, Michael, bring his camera home and WOW! These weren't done in the photography studio, they are just his snapshots but they really turned out great. Hi! I am not surprised. IMO, a few years into the Gene line AD just started doing way too many different dolls and overproducing almost all of them. The first couple of years I loved the dolls and bought a few but after I felt they started over doing it I sold all of them. I'm sure I'll add one to my collection again eventually. I have a couple of friends, we used to travel around and do doll shows together. One of them had a Gene Premeir and finally sold it for about $275. Randall
