From the gpc docs:
--progress-bar Output number of processed lines while compiling. --progress-bar Do not output number of processed lines while compiling (default).
I assume the second should be "--no-progress-bar".

Yes. (Not only the documentation, also the implementation was wrong, will be fixed in the next release.)
