THANK YOU SO MUCH, MELISSA!...

Good evening Candi Collectors.... I had to write to say that Melissa is such a sweetie, she sent me the photos (via snail mail) of her lovely blue-haired Charice (thank you Melissa!) in two different fashions: First, in a blue Holiday gown from Jakks Pacific, which goes great with her hair! The second pic is three dolls...a flaming-red-haired Charice in a red gown, a Platinum-haired Barbie in a white gown and a blue-haired Charice in a Mikelman fashion (blue). RED WHITE & BLUE...Awesome Melissa! We've got similar tastes Melissa...my blue-haired Charice is wearing a blue dress that I designed for her and I also have the flaming-red haired, flip-do Charice...and she is also in a red dress that I made! LOL. Thank you for sending these, I really appreciate it. I can't wait until our new PC is up and running and I can take pics and share them with everybody!! (We are still waiting for the tech to hook-up the DSL line...) Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend... I already have passed this information along, Joan. When Helena had her site up and the pic posted of a 16" Candi, I was really surprised by the intense interest expressed by so many in wanting a 16" Candi. Don't give up hope quite yet but don't hold your breath either. IF we get one, I have a feeling it will be a long time in coming. Since some of you are so good at design & sewing, here is Marilyn Jasper's site for Gene patterns but she also has paperdolls & a little goody section which contains places to print out a mini magazine, shoe boxes,Xmas cards & other stuff we could also use for Candi. http://www.geocities.com/FashionAvenue/Catwalk/4348/ Alana , who used to belong to this site , gave this info & also her site but I can no longer pull it up...does anyone ever hear or know what happened to Alana? Yes, I have known about Jason's new line but have not been able to say anything about it because of a product development confidentiality agreement. I was extremely surprised to see the reference to the line in the magazine article. I have e-mailed Jason to see what I can specifically reveal to you without breaching the agreement so stay tuned, so to speak, :-). For now, all that I can tell you is that there will be 2 dolls in the line, a caucasian and an african american. I can also say that there is supposed to be a phenomenal body sculpt for these dolls, the most detailed yet to appear on an 11.5" doll is how it has been described to me. The sculpt is supposed to be more like what you would expect to find on one of the 15.5" to 16" dolls. They will be higher priced than Candis but no pricing details have yet been revealed as they are not expected to be available until the 4th quarter of 2002. If you are interested in reserving one of these dolls based on the very little that is known now, please let me know. I will be happy to take your reservation without any deposit until more information is revealed. You'll even have to order by saying caucasian or african american for now because I'm not positive as to which name applies to which doll, LOL! They went through several name changes during development, so I've requested clarification. ABout Hamiltons NEVER making the 16inch Candi® dolls, while YES they were advertised I meat to say that far as I knew they NEVER made the line after all th advertising! TTYS Kevin
