And thank you for reminding us that this is a CANDI chat list. I'm not sure why anyone who isn't interested in Candi would be on the list, are you? Folks, it doesn't bother me that Helena is a member of the list that was started by people who love/loved her dolls. Perhaps she thinks that people who are on a CANDI chat list are fans of her CANDI dolls? Just a thought. I stopped trying to figure out her agenda years ago and we have to face it: her post has given us lots to "chat" about! LOL. Thanks again for sharing those fabulous finds! Can Helena just post to this CandiChat list without being a member? Or is she a member, with the ability to read all these posts? Just curious if she is hearing what everyone thinks about her, and realizes that everyone is sick of what she has done to the Candi doll? Crystal

Why?

I have one question in regard to the continued "Mis-" behaviors of Ms. Helena Hamilton. Although I love her dolls, she has continually demonstrated the worst kinds of behavior. In fact, she reminds me of several wild eyed liberals I've encountered in my occupational field. There is this idea that because of one's ethnic minority, one has the right to use people, abuse people, not pay one's bills, lie, and then justify every action with an excuse, NEVER taking responsibility for one's actions or in her case, "non action". It is this kind of behavior that gives women and African Americans in general bad reputations. As a woman, I continually hear individuals comment about how unprofessional/unreliable many women are. I believe her continued behavior is a prime example of an individual who has never been held accountable by her action. IF there is any legal way she can be held accountable, maybe a little time behind bars would wake this individual up. Nothing else can penetrate some people's attitude problems, except the harshest of penalties. Not paying one's bills is called THEFT.

HI All, YES I firmly believe that is Ms. Hamilton sending those e-mails, especially so since the e-mail address is the same as was on those nasty e-mails I personally got from her when she more or less tryed accusing me of being in cahoots with her enemies!! Plain and simple the woman just aint right!! TTYS KEVIN

HI Kathy, LOL serves Messy Missy right, and I have no bad feeling about doing it especially after she TRYED going after me saying I was in Cahoots with her enemies, GO FIGURE I have never even met the woman before and I KNOW with my big mouth I would probably give her the what for If I ever met her in person!! She just doesnt know when to leav well enough alone!! Helena could be making BOOCOO bucks if she stayed with Integrity and had them making the HIGH QUALITY Candis but nooooooo, I cant for the life of me figure out WHY any sane person would want to shoot down a definent money making project. Added new Vintage Candi to my collection

Attended a doll show last week, and mixed in with the usual child and artist porcelain dolls was a dealer with 2 Vintage Candi from 1992, with boxes signed by Helena Hamilton. They were lovely and I snatched them up immediately! The dresses are sewn right on to the doll, and the fit isn't quite up to today's standards, but they are an important part of Candi history. I've labeled them Teal Lace and Cameo Pink. Feel free to stop by and view them at my website, under Candi Couture! Dear Candi Chatters, It has come to my attention that Integrity Toys is still producing dolls under the Candi® trademark. And they do so illegally. Unfortunately, We regret to inform you that Integrity Toys and Hamilton Toys could not come to a favorable agreement. Integrity Toys lost there Candi® license on January 16, 2003. (Termination letter enclosed). We told Integrity Toys that they could break the news to their dealers and once they did we both would make joint statements. We have not heard from Integrity Toys for 3 months. And they continue to produce Candi® dolls! Hamilton Toys can no longer remain silent. For the safety of our clients. (And Integrity's). Any dealer that sells a CANDI® DOLL, bought and produced after January 16, 2003, by Integrity toys, does so illegally. Therefore, becoming an accomplice to a criminal act. Integrity Toys assured us that they would not produce any dolls using the CANDI® or CANDI GIRL® REGISTERED TRADEMARKS after January 16th 2003. Candi® Basics are being produced illegally, and without authorization from Hamilton Toys. I can't believe they put it on their website! Hamilton Toys is the sole owner of the CANDI® LICENSE. Anyone selling a FAKE CANDI® PRODUCT from Integrity Toys (Anything produced after January 16th 2003) will be seen as an accomplice and will be included in a lawsuit against Integrity Toys. We have a right and an obligation to protect our trademarks. No new CANDI® doll lines are to be produced beyond the "Weekender Gift Set" the 3 "Fashion Forward" designs, and the remaining "Manhattan Moods" CANDI® doll lines. All on collection disk. Now in production in China. We cannot continue to do business with a company (Integrity Toys) that so blatantly & illegally KNOCK-OFF our doll product lines. While our molds are in their (Integrity Toys) possession. Then when confronted tells us, "We aren't admitting to anything. But we can work something out." Words cannot express my level of disappointment with your company. I never dreamed your could be capable of such a fraud. Our products have been on the market for 13 years now. We know our work, and so do our customers. And you are deliberately trying to confuse the market place for your benefit. You are on notice that after January 16, 2003, Integrity shall have no right to make any further use of the CANDI® trademark or to manufacture or sell dolls or doll bodies made from the CANDI® molds, including without limitation, both the "old CANDI® molds" and the "new CANDI® molds" referred to in the AGREEMENT. Our attorneys will have to work out the rest of our differences. You are also put on notice that this notice to cancel in no way limits or reduces the obligations of Integrity Toys, Inc. to Hamilton Toys regarding royalties payable or past due. Thanks, Beryl. I have a whole chapter you can view. To give some background, my doll (Mary-Margaret) is actually going to camp this summer. A doll/diorama lover from one of my other groups is taking about 16 dolls belonging to different group members on vacation with her. She's enormously talented and will create some wonderful stories for us to view later. Some of my diorama group members are caught up in the "Camp Wizzy" excitement and are creating stories for fun, and this is one of mine. Hope you enjoy it. (Um, this stuff is done with humor.
