Hi Folks,
Found I had installed GNU Pascal on my old mac some time ago (cannot
remember how). It seems to work. I have recently been porting some
old Turbo Pascal DOS code (DSP tools), but now would like to port one
that uses a little Turbo 5 graphics. It looks like I need to use
GRX. So I download it and started to try and compile it - before I
found out you good people have been here before (I got as far as not
being able to link in the X11 libs).
So I have now found the patch (http://grx.gnu.de/macosx.diff), but I
am not sure how to apply it.
It appears to expect several makefile.osx files to already be in the
original tree, with lines like:-
diff -uprN grx249.orig/pascal/bgi/makefile.osx grx249.macosx/
pascal/bgi/makefile.osx
in the patch, but when I look in grx249.tar.gz or grx249s.zip, I
cannot find these starting .osx files to patch.
Have I missed something, or do I just take the corresponding .x11
files and copy them to make the required .osx files for patching?
Many thanks
Michael
Hi, I have released MGRX version 1.3.1
MGRX is a 2D graphics library derived from GRX. It supports four platforms:
DJGPP, Win32, Linux framebuffer and Linux X11.
For the Linux console and the Linux X11 versions three architectures are
supported: i386 (32bit), x86_64 (64bit) and ARM (32bit)
It includes GrGUI, a mini Graphics User Interface specifically
designed for MGRX..
You can get the sources from http://mgrx.fgrim.com either as a
.tar.gz or a .zip package.
Changes from last version: http://www.fgrim.com/mgrx/changes.txt
Installation instructions: http://www.fgrim.com/mgrx/readme.txt
And I have realeased too FEdit 1.0, a small and nice font editor for the
MGRX own font format. It needs MGRX 1.3.1 to be buid.
Readme file: http://www.fgrim.com/mgrx/fedit_readme.txt
Screenshot: http://www.fgrim.com/mgrx/img/fedit10.png
You can get it from the MGRX site in the Applications section.
I now I'm reinventing the wheel, but I like to make wheels :-)

Hi, I have released MGRX version 1.2.0
MGRX is a 2D graphics library derived from GRX. It supports four platforms:
DJGPP, Win32, Linux framebuffer & Linux X11.
1.2.0 includes ARM support for Linux framebuffer & Linux X11 (tested in a
Raspberry Pi 4 using Raspbian). The ARM framebuffer version runs very fast
and with 0 problems. Te ARM X11 version is a bit slow (except for biblits)
and have some glitches, the big one is that the xserver ignore any function
to draw except GXcopy.
As usual you can get the sources from http://mgrx.fgrim.com either as a
.tar.gz or a .zip package.
Changes from last version: http://www.fgrim.com/mgrx/readme.txt
Installation instructions: http://www.fgrim.com/mgrx/readme.txt
I expect to release a new major version in two or three months. It will
include a new miniGUI.
Enjoy

Hi, I have released a new version of MGRX
It resolves a problem with wide line polygons that is there since eons.
I thinl it will be easy to backport to GRX.
Enjoy

Alright, but what are the compiling instructions... nonexistent?
LOL! I hadn't forgotten just slipped my mind a little!
I used GRX many years ago when I was in college. It was back in the
90's. Had to develop my own bitblt feature as I recall.
Anyway I am happy to see that there still is life in the project. I'll
have to check it out.
