avoiding flickering

Hi all, how can I avoid the flickering of clearing the screen and repainting it? I tried to paint into a context but can't get it visible. (on Linux X11, with BCC 3.1 I was not able to create a context as large as the screen at all). Can anybody please give me a hint? Thanks. Anybody using grx under Windows XP?

Hello, all - I am trying to port some grx programs to a new windows XP system, compiling with djgpp. I'm using the version of GRX that is on the djgpp site, namely 2.4.3. The test program comes up, but things don't look right; there's a squished rose, and the demo programs kick out without any visible action. Offhand, I suspect that the graphics mode is not right. (some recompiled grx programs run with some of the expected display off the screen, and circles flattened). Before I try to spend serious time tracking this down, does anybody out there have experience running grx on windows XP? Any quick suggestions? Request for help on the GRX X11

Hi. When you click in the close button in a window that stores a GRX program, the program is aborted. I have added code to show a message in the Windows port, but I don't know how to do it in X. Somebody has any clues? Thanks, M.Alvarez

GRX Question

new fontdemo.c

The newest fontdemo with all the patches and: - fix char c -> int c in main() (I'm sure it was int some time ago) - use GR_UNDERLINE_TEXT for underlining (I should RTFM sometimes :-) - dynamically allocate testname (buffer overflow was possible) - allow reverse and underline attributes at startup (-a 1, -a 2) - use 8 bpp modes by default, they're more common that the 4-bit Note: because of the many changes since the last -pre, fontdemo.zip contains a full source (fontdemo.c), not an incrementional patch. grx 1.x sources - grx1 for djgpp 2.x

Hello, For reasons concerning compatibility with older packages, I was hoping to find a djgpp 2.x compatible package of the *grx 1.x* sources/binaries. I would prefer building myself, but ready made binary package is also very welcome.
