I have some questions about GRX font usage: a) is there a free font editor for GRX fonts available b) how can I save a GRX font generated by GrLoadConvertedFont() to a 'file.fnt' c) how to use the output of GrDumpFont() properly d) are there some more fonts of the family "PC<W>x<H>[t].fnt" available for GRX (I like that thin pc8x14t.fnt :-) Thanks for any help -- Gruss Waldemar Schultz. Beginners-Question, Pascal and GRX

Hi! I got grx-2.3.1 installed. I tested the C-programms and everything was fine. Then, I tried to do the same with the Pascal-Programms: gpc --automake -L/usr/X11R6/lib -L/usr/lib -lX11 -ltiff -ljpeg -lgrx taste.pas (or whatever libs I try to link. I also used different versions of gpc. Debian Linux 2.2, 586-PC) I get (more than) the following errors: 8< ------------------- snip ------------ grx20.pas:252: warning: identifiers should not start with an underscore grx20.pas:252: warning: identifiers should not contain two adjacent underscores grx20.pas:252: warning: identifiers should not end with an underscore grx20.pas:252: type name expected, identifier '__asmname__' given grx20.pas:252: parse error before ;' ......... grx20.pas:622: type name expected, identifier Grfont' given grx20.pas:622: warning: type defaults to 'int' in declaration of 'Font' grx20.pas:1320: parse error before 'integer' gpc1: gpc exited with status 1 ------------------- snap ------------>8 In grx20.pas I did not find a library-decalaration like {$L grx}. I tried this but it didn't help. Now that GRX has failed with a regular serial mouse too on this machine, it seems the problem is related to the graphics adapter not the mouse driver. The machine has a PC-580 Pentium Little Board, that's PC/AT comaptible. The manual says it has VGA support (with Chips & Technologies 65555 HiQVideoTM Accelerator). I tried modetest, and successfully got 800X600 mode. I do get this mode with my GRX program too, but only when the mouse driver is not loaded. GRX and CT touch screen mouse.

I am testing a small DJGPP/GRX program that initializes graphics and draws a line. The program works fine, except when I load the Carroll Touch (carrolltouch.com) touch screen drivers ( tapi.exe, ctkern.exe, ctmouse.exe) The touch screen mouse works fine alone too. But GRX fails in GrSetMode( ) when the driver is loaded, and the computer hangs. The mouse driver uses COM 2 - S/W Int 55h, 56h - H/W Int 7 - I/O address 300. Hi. I want to package the next GRX release, and I think the most urgent is to compatibilize the BGI license with GRX. Hi again, I haven't received any answers for my previous email, that's why I've built my own solution: a function called GrBitBlt1bpp. As the name suggests, it's very similar to GrBitBlt, except that the source bitmap must have 1 bpp frame mode, and that it accepts two color parameters, foreground and background. I've put this function (provisionally) in bitblt.c Here is the source code. I haven't tested it exhaustively, only some cases.
