I think, there must be some demo files in the contrib-tree of gpc on agnes. Your brother Peter is IMHO the most experienced GRX-GPC-user.

Especially I need to know how to just initialize a GRX program

• in X11 or
• from a shell.

It's a question of linking the right libs to the programs. You can use the SVGAlib or X11 for graphic output. Look at the C-GRX-samples.

Since the Pascal interface of grSetMode has another parameter list as the original function in C, this is a non-trivial problem.
