Hi, I don't have a pointer to the 2.4 sources so I can't answer this question for myself: does GRX compile under Cygwin? Thanks ZS

I don't know, but it compiles under Mingw, so probably yes.
Provisionaly you can download 2.4 from:
For linux/unix users:
http://www.terra.es/personal/malfer/zipfiles/grx24.tar.gz
For DJGPP/Mingw users (with manifests files):
http://www.terra.es/personal/malfer/zipfiles/grx24s.zip
But, stay tuned, GRX 2.4.1 is coming.
