Greetings everyone,
I'm wondering what the status of 2.4 is. Is it still being developed? Is there an estimate for when it might be released? Is it available in its current state for beta testing?
Any information would be appreciated. I checked the GRX site (http://www.gnu.de/software/GRX/) but I couldn't find any details.
Thanks!
Ben

I have a version of GRX for MS-Windows 9x/NT here waiting to be released for beta testing. It will certainly need more work, but I am already using it here.
BCC2GRX and BGI2GRX are going to be integrated into GRX.
We are going to use GRX and BGI2GRX as the official low-level graphics unit for the GNU Pascal Compiler (GPC). When doing that, some stuff in BGI2GRX will be fixed.
BUT ...
There are still some licensing issues to be solved. Before contributing stuff to GRX I want to be sure that I can use it in GPC and my other projects. (Search the list archives at http://www.gnu.de/archive/wilma.cgi/grx for "license" to see what I mean.)
Furthermore, someone must do the merge (GRX + GRX-W32 + BCC2GRX + BGI2GRX) and clean up the resulting code. (If I had some time left, I'd do it, but I haven't.)-:
If anyone wants to help to get these issues solved, please do so. This is a great chance to become the maintainer of an official GNU project! ;-)
Greetings,
Peter

I like GRX. I think it's a very good library. I don´t know assembler and don´t have enough time, but I want to help GRX survive.
I could do: unify the test programs with a menu; betatest the w32 port (work it on mingw32?); write doc's spanish translations. But I will like to know the maintainers future plans.
