C header file in pascal

Need date functions to process unix timestamps

Hey Peoples, Since the GNU-GPC site is down i cant check the manual pages... Does GPC have date functions built in to handle unix timestamps? These timestamps seem to be number of seconds since January 1, 1970. I could just write a function taking into account leap years and all.. but why do that when its most likely already included :) Thanks jamie

First of all, what you should expect is a space rather than a newline. That's how text files work. (You can test EOLn to differentiate it from a real space.) If you want to read characters directly, maybe a `file of Char' is better suited than `Text'. But, of course, 2 spaces is wrong. I'm fixing it (will be uploaded soon, gpc-20010422). Command lines with GPC

I am trying to compile a program in Pascal with GPC, that uses command lines. I use the module you can find on the GPC's manual. When compile my program i get the next messages: "undefined reference to '_p_paramcount'" "undefined reference to '_p_paramstr'" I use a machine under LINUX and GPC 2.95.2 I would appreciate if somebody can help me. I know is a simple question for you but not for me ;) Thank you.

Thist time related headers and related libraries were available both at build and tests time (it was on different machines). So it seems that cross-building GPC for DJGPP under Linux worked for me without problems. Andris

OK. With this change and the previous replacements of cpp by cpp0, I am able to do a native djgpp build of gpc-20010331. It gives zero error when running the whole test suite, the gpc demos programs and the grx24 pascal demo programs. I have thus uploaded the resulting gpc2953b.zip to agnes under the link: ftp://agnes.dida.physik.uni-essen.de/home/maurice/gpc2953b.zip In the same directory I have uploaded all that I have used to do this native build (to enable compilations of new snapshots): -> the gpc diff file: ftp://agnes.dida.physik.uni-essen.de/home/maurice/gcc-2.95.3.diff (it complains that some hunks are not in proper place. It is easy to correct for that but I prefer to let people to try on other systems with the original diff first in case there would be something special to djgpp) -> the patch to apply to gcc2953s.zip to enable a native build: ftp://agnes.dida.physik.uni-essen.de/home/maurice/build_gpc_djgpp_2953.diff Notice that there is something wrong with the change made by gcc2953s2 to enable better incorporation of gpc into the gcc suite: what is changed in the top level Makefile.in: it produces GPC_FOR_TARGET=gpc instead of GPC_FOR_TARGET=./xgpc -B./ I have not tried to understand, only reverted these changes in the previous diff. -> a batch file ftp://agnes.dida.physik.uni-essen.de/home/maurice/buildgpc2953.bat which automates the whole process: compiling gpc, installing and running the test suite if there is no compilation error. I usually run it during lunch time or at night. ennumerated type bug

Hello People, I know there is a bug with ennumerated types being declared in one interface and using it in another (at least with passing the type contents as function parameters). This is also a low priority bug, but its one I need fixed.... so can anyone give me a little background on where to look to fix it? And if/when I do, I'll definately submit the code. Thanks! What do you use to debug with?

I have been using stock GDB that comes with Mandrake 7.2, when debugging strings I get this: $1 = {Capacity = 38, length = 0, schema$ = Invalid C/C++ type code 13 in symbol table. So I downloaded and built gdbpas and get this instead: $2 = {Capacity = 38, length = 38, schema$ = B'101100101000011001001110110001101111011'} Both for the same variable.... what s the proper way to debug pascal?
