install-gpc-binary : gpc: cannot execute

Hello, The gpc is formed after a lot of changes in the script .But it gives an error "gpc: cannot execute" Can you kindly tell me why it happens. about serial communciations

Hello, I am new to GPC but I have experience with Delphi. There I use Turbopower´s Async library to do serial communications. Can I use that library with GPC?. Can you show me a simple program that demonstrates serial communications? or where do I get it? Thank you in advance. Trouble importing units/modules

Hello, I have just compiled and installed gpc on a linux Redhat 6.1 system. Everything seems to be fine, except that when I tried a few of the demo programs I get an error about not being able to find-import the Gpc module. I tried using the --unit-directory= ... option when invoking gpc but that did not help. Any suggestions? (Probably it's a common question that has passed a million times through here, but I didn't find an answer to it yet). I would appreciate a personal reply as I am not a member of the mailing list. Good version for mostly IT activity

Hi ! I need your advice -- I want to find stable gpc version suitable for my needs.. I'm run Linux [2.4.6 as for now, and I plan to further upgrades :-)]. I need gpc to compile user programs, which would be likely developed under mics. environment, but generally under DOS with old borland pascal {They think that BP IDE is the best}. Programs are expected to be relatively small, and I don't think that anyone would use OO-extensions more that for few strings, it would at all. Actually, BP compatibility is not REQUIRED, but would be nice. Are there any standards in Pascal like ISO C ?? Personally I don't program Pascal, so I can't judge which one is better. What can you tell me about FPC? Is it worth looking ?? thank you for your opinion. Hello, I downloaded the binary file gpc-19990118.sparc-sun-solaris2.6.tar.gz for my solaris 2.6 machine and unpacked it as given. Then i tried to compile simple pascal program. The following error is seen : "Installation problem. Cannot execute gpc-cpp" Please guide me on this. Hari

Hello, Following the previous discussion thread I tried to build newer version of GPC on my machine. I had no problems building gpc version 20010502, based on 2.95.3 20010315.
