Same here, BSD-based free operating system.
But, with the new changes in GCC for 4.0.0, it seems like this would be a good opportunity to start the integration work, however long it takes with the resources as they are. My only concern would be that it might be too late for 4.0.x, but possibly for 4.1.x.
For 4.0 it's too late, plus 4.0 has a completely different internal structure due to tree-ssa.
My concern with 4.x is that many people will stay with 3.4.x for a while, but the gcc steering commitee won't bring out a 3.4.5 or even 3.5 version until tree-ssa dust has settled (probably 4.2 or 4.3), all languages are supported etc.
I have heard that Propolice SSP by Hiroaki Etoh, which we're using (most BSDs), will be in 4.1 or 4.2 too (with changed design), and how much work it is. Ada is said to be still broken for 4.0, and they had to replace g77 by gfortran.
