What is autoheader?
It is a perl script that (I believe) comes with the automake package (or at least, is built when building automake). Seems that you must have a functional perl to use it (and, I guess, to build it as well).
I think that this problem may be related to the tools that I have installed on the machine. I have the GNU sed installed, as well as autoconf 2.13. Now here's the problem:
For my platform, bision is only available in 1.75. The textinfo and flex tools are *NOT* available at all through the ports collection. Unfortunately, this is the best that I can do because I don't know C very well.
I think you will have a problem without texinfo (you probably will not be able to build the GPC docs).
Your best bet is to download the sources of all the things you need and try to build them, and hope for the best ...
