I've put the patch into the official sources, but inactivated by `#if 0'. So, all you've got to do is activate the patch before compiling future GPC versions.
If you want the compiler switch, you can either wait until we get around to it in our normal progress of work, or you can pay us (or any other programmer) to do it now. That's your option with free software...
