Ok, then I would check off what I want ( what do i want?). I would check off C and C++????? But there's no mention of GNU Pascal on that site. what else do I need?
Please I need to know - list - of exactly what I need for an install. I'll use my own text editor ( no IDE ), run the compiler etc. from the DOS CMD line. I'll just be processing text files at first - so it's nothing complicated A simple install.
What exactly do I check off? What other downloads to I need for GNU Pascal? I came back later and ask about the install process/details itself as ques. come up. Specifically.
Thanks
PS. Rather that having you tell me *why* I need to seemingly install C to have Pascal - I just want the installation "procedure" at this point and to start learning the code. I'll defer the "whys" at this point to save us time.

I need newbie step by step help installing gnu Pascal for DOS. I have
seen
the docs. on the gnu Pascal site but have not been able to glean from
the
site exactly what files I need.
- what files should I download for a minimum working DJGPP DOS install?
http://www.delorie.com/ Choose DJGPP and then Zip-Picker; you just have to fill in a form :)
